Los Angeles has twice hosted the Summer Olympics inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. If you’ve ever wanted to walk in the footsteps of champions, this is the place to go.
The first Olympic games held at the coliseum took place in July and August 1932. These were the second Summer Olympic games ever held in the U.S. In July and August of 1984, the XXIII Summer Olympics were hosted at the coliseum. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum bears the honor of being the only place in the entire world that has ever hosted two Summer Olympics.
Football and More
Today, you can visit the coliseum and watch your choice of two football teams. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is home of the University of Southern California football team, the Trojans. Or, you can buy tickets to watch the famous Los Angeles Rams play on the same grounds as the champions.
